❝OPen-minded, that's me.❞ - G. Taylor

George likes this to be one of the first things that people should know about him. It's his life motto, giving him plenty of variation in his subjects of interest. As in life, he also prefers a lot of variety in his work, often expressing that he doesn't have limitations that he's aware of. He'll do anything at least once, and preferably a second time ⏤ just in case.

Born in Whangarei, New Zealand in the early eighties, Mr. Taylor started traveling Aotearoa when he was only eight-

years-old. "That's when I learned that I love nature, of course, as a kid, I didn't appreciate it as much as I do now," George speaks passionately about how much he enjoys incorporating nature into his photography where he can. "It's so much fun to bring nature into places it shouldn't be, or vice-versa."

"I had a tough, lonely childhood, but I can honestly say I wouldn't be where I am today, without it." Where most

people would get depressed and get into trouble, George focused inwardly, picking up art and writing. As he got older, those hobbies soon turned into passions, expanding into graphic and web design and photography.

Being on the spectrum and having spent most of his life as an introvert, it's obvious by George's work that he sees

things (and life) differently than most people do. This gives him a creative photography eye, one that you don't see often anymore. Where most photographers over-edit, George is a perfectionist, loving all the little details. You're more likely to get something raw and gritty rather than over-beautified, blurred out images. But he's also a good compromiser, so if dark and gritty isn't your thing, then 'something can always be arranged'.

George is currently studying at The Southern Institute of Technology, wanting to improve his selection of skills so

he can do even more. "You can never know too much. You're always going to learn something new, even if you did the same course more than once. There's always going to be new views on whatever subject you're studying."

"If you're wanting different, something original, I'm it." ⏤ George Matthew Elliot Taylor, 2021
